We’ve just wrapped up another charity event in our head office raising money through Macmillan’s Coffee Morning event. Staff members generously brought in cake for the bake sale, with offerings from lime cheesecake to orange and poppy seed sponge, tiffin to vegan chocolate muffins.
QMS has a charity committee who are responsible for organising charity events throughout the year. From baking cakes, through to office sweepstakes, there appears to be no end to the generosity of our team.
Our work for charity doesn’t just stay in the office, our staff and their families also participate in public events. To date we’ve taken part in numerous 5k runs, witnessed some painful wax sessions and our Managing Director, Matt Stacey, even took part in a non-stop team relay run from London to Cardiff – that’s over 160 miles!
So far in 2017 we have raised over £300 from our in-office events and over £14,000 from our staff’s individual and group events.
Some of the charities we have raised money for over the years include Prostate Cancer UK, Cancer Research UK, DSRF-UK, Big C, Comic Relief and Macmillan Cancer Support.
In addition to our fundraising efforts, we also help charities by offering them 10% discount of the cost of gaining an ISO Certification.
