The spread of Coronavirus has caused many businesses to close their doors. But hundreds across the country have the processes and procedures in place to produce quality-assured products, including crucial PPE for the NHS.
One such business that has offered its production line to the Government is our client Rapid 3D Solutions (Tradecnc.co.uk) in Northwich, Cheshire. On a normal day, the company produces retail displays and CNC machining services, but it is now perfectly geared up to produce a large quantity of face shields.
Quality products
The company holds an ISO 9001 Quality Management System, which means the business has the systems in place to adapt its production line to new products and continue to produce high-quality items.
Initially, Paul Dodd of Rapid 3D Solutions was able to produce up to 450 visors a day for NHS staff using donations raised via Facebook, which health workers were able to pick up directly from his company premises. Unfortunately, the Government has been slow to react to offers of help from companies such as this, which has caused production to halt.
