What is ISO 45001?

How to get ISO 45001

With many of the processes already in place to meet the requirements of the Standard, there are just a few additional processes that you will need to implement to fulfil the requirements for ISO 45001.

To help you increase your chances of passing the audit first time, you will need to have carried out at least one internal audit and management review.

  • An internal audit is a scheduled, periodic check of your business’ processes. It reveals if a process is documented accurately, correctly implemented and effectively maintained. You can learn more about them in this detailed article.
  • A management review is usually held once a year and is a formal structured meeting involving top management. It evaluates the effectiveness of your management system to make sure it continues to meet your business’ needs. Read more about management reviews here.

When you’re ready, a Citation ISO Certification auditor will assess your health & safety processes, comparing them against the ISO 45001 Standard’s requirements. If these requirements are met, Citation ISO Certification will be able to issue your new accredited certification.
