QMS International has successfully achieved accreditation with the ASCB*, a UK Accreditation Body respected for its integrity and impartiality throughout the World.
ASCB chairman, Steve Feltham, explains the benefits of using an ASCB accredited Certification Body ‘Accreditation is a formal, third party means of assessing the technical competence and integrity of a Certification Body. ASCB utilises a quantitative evaluation of conformity to constantly monitor and assess the performance of our accredited members, it provides a high level of assurance to organisations that have been successfully assessed against the requirements of International Accreditation Standards, which in the case of QMS is ISO 17021:2011’.
From 1st January 2015 QMS will be issuing certificates with the ASCB accreditation, and over the following twelve months they will issue nearly 10,000 new Certificates to organisations which currently hold an ASCB accredited Certificate. Technical Principal, Steve Dean, explains the process ’The ASCB accredited Certificates will be valid until the end of 2015 so there is no need to rush the process; we will simply send out a new Certificate following the completion of an organisation’s annual surveillance audit’.
QMS CEO, Jonathan Chapman, believes the new accreditation is great news for the organisation and their clients “The accreditation not only shows how serious we are about the quality of our services and certification but it will also benefit our clients as their certification will be automatically registered on www.irqao.com. IRQAO is an online register which enables the public to view and verify the status of a certificate at any time”.
*ASCB is a member of the Global Accreditation Forum (GAF), which promotes the best practices in quality assurance and operates within its own procedures based on the needs of international accreditation. Any disputes between an accredited certification body and a registered organisation may always be referred to the GAF for review. Since 1995 ASCB has accredited over 10 Certification Bodies in the UK and over 90 Certification Bodies Internationally.
