Connexin Limited, a business based in Hull that offers smart city solutions, as well as data centre services and internet/telephony services, recently achieved certification to three international Standards: ISO 9001:2015 (Quality), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental) and OHSAS 18001:2007 (Occupational Health and Safety).
These internationally-recognised Standards will help Connexin to instil a systematic approach in their daily activities, improving efficiency, reducing the impact of their organisation on the environment and ensuring that health, safety and welfare remain paramount at all times.
QMS Consultant, Wynn Walker, who first visited Connexin in February 2018 praised their preparation saying: “Connexin were very engaged during the consultancy and forward leaning in their approach to ISO certification”. She added: “in my opinion, Connexin Limited have embraced the ethos of ISO and how beneficial the certifications would be, both to their reputation and in their approach to risk mitigation. The commitment and enthusiasm of the staff team, when it comes to meeting the requirements of all ISO Standards, is clearly going to be rewarded through current and future business opportunities”.

In addition to this month’s achievements, efforts are already underway to gain a fourth certification, the ISO 27001:2013 (Information Security) certification. By achieving this certification, Connexin will have the knowledge and tools required to help them protect corporate information and data from being accessed, corrupted, lost or stolen.
The techniques learned through achieving the ISO 27001 certification will also assist them in ensuring their information security processes and procedures are constantly maintained and reviewed, contributing towards their ongoing GDPR Compliance.
