It was an honour to be nominated for the Employer of the Year 2022 award
Unfortunately, we walked away empty-handed at The Norfolk Business Awards in the Employer of the Year category on Thursday 24 November. We had some strong competition, and the winner was a non-profit organisation, the AF Group, who do great work in the agricultural sector.
As always, it was an incredible honour to be nominated and we were in some great company among businesses throughout Norfolk.
The nomination was a testament to the incredible journey we’ve been on with our people and culture over the last few years. Taking the plunge to enter Best Companies to Work for back in 2019 and gaining a ‘One to Watch’ accreditation to today being a Top 25 UK Consultancy firm, Top 150 UK Mid-Sized Company and Top 75 Companies in the East to work for with our 1* Accreditation for Employee Engagement is something we’re incredibly proud of as an organisation.
We’ve always had a vision of the culture we wanted to create at QMS. In the UK, the average number of HR professionals per 100 colleagues is currently around 1.4. For our 115 colleagues, our average is 2.3 so it’s clearly an area we are heavily invested in. But it takes a very talented HR team to deliver this for you. Our fantastic HR team got us to the finals, and we couldn’t be more grateful for all their hard work over the last year.
And last, but by no means least. it’s down to all the great people that make up the QMS team that make it such a fun and friendly place to work. With some exciting changes to come in 2023, Thursday’s ceremony was the perfect way to celebrate a brilliant year and look forward to a bright future.
